Last Christmas the hard disk in binky (Kate’s laptop) died a sudden, horrible and inexplicable death. Unfortunatly we were unable to get a reasonable replacement at the time, and so, Kate worked from an Ubuntu live boot CD. In an insane rage necessary to get away from Gnome and to find something far less brown a new theme was born, with the assistance of a USB memory stick… The theme based around our favourite colours (Purple for me and Green for Kate) stayed in our hearts and on binky’s desktop long after Ubuntu and our sanity was replaced courtesy of Gentoo.

A so here is the first (public) release of the theme we dubbed Ubuntastic (it’ less brown!)
